Consent to share your tax information
Fairmark (Integrated Holdings LLC) and Thomas A. McDevitt, EA
This is the complete text of the consent you sign by typing your name at checkout. Your typed name, the date and time, and the signing method are kept on your case as your signature record, and a copy goes to your Enrolled Agent’s file.
Federal law protects your tax information. Unless you authorize it, the people working on your case cannot share that information with each other. This consent lets them do exactly that, and nothing more.
By signing, you authorize, for the purpose of evaluating, pricing, scheduling, and resolving your IRS case:
1. Fairmark to give your Enrolled Agent, Thomas A. McDevitt, the information you provide: your answers, your IRS letters, your signed authorization form, and any documents you upload.
2. Thomas A. McDevitt to give Fairmark information about your case, including IRS records and transcripts he obtains, what he finds, and his recommendation, so Fairmark can put your options and your price in writing.
3. Fairmark to receive, store, and transmit your signed IRS Form 2848 and case documents between you and your Enrolled Agent.
This consent does NOT allow either party to share your information with anyone else, to use it for marketing beyond your own case, or to sell it. It is not a power of attorney and gives Fairmark no authority with the IRS.
Duration: this consent lasts until one year after your case closes. You may revoke it at any time by writing to team@fairmark.us.
Federal law requires this consent form be provided to you. Unless authorized by law, we cannot disclose your tax return information to third parties for purposes other than those related to the preparation and filing of your tax return without your consent. If you consent to the disclosure of your tax return information, Federal law may not protect your tax return information from further use or distribution. You are not required to complete this form. Because our ability to disclose your tax return information to another tax return preparer affects the tax return preparation service(s) that we provide to you and its (their) cost, we may decline to provide you with tax return preparation services or change the terms (including the cost) of the tax return preparation services that we provide to you if you do not sign this form. If you agree to the disclosure of your tax return information, your consent is valid for the amount of time that you specify. If you do not specify the duration of your consent, your consent is valid for one year from the date of signature.
If you believe your tax return information has been disclosed or used improperly in a manner unauthorized by law or without your permission, you may contact the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) by telephone at 1-800-366-4484, or by email at complaints@tigta.treas.gov.
